Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and assessments, determining the most appropriate interventions based on client needs. \n
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing professional mental health services to children, teenagers, and their families. \n
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers, including Reentry Social Workers, to create and implement effective discharge planning services. \n
- Complete statistical and clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner to maintain essential care records. \n
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision with a designated Clinical Supervisor to promote professional growth and adherence to best practices. \n
- Lead psychoeducational groups and process groups, enhancing patient skills and coping mechanisms. \n
- Engage in case conferences and treatment planning meetings to collaboratively tailor care strategies for clients. \n
- May participate in psychological testing and provide supervision for social work interns or student volunteers as needed. \n
Your primary focus will include working with children and teenagers who experience a range of mental health challenges. You will utilize therapeutic methodologies that are tailored to younger demographics, engaging them through effective communication and specialized treatment programs. Your role will significantly contribute to breaking down barriers to mental health access among these vulnerable populations.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master’s or Doctorate degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline. \n
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California or eligibility for immediate licensure. \n
- Strong clinical acumen with proficiency in evaluating complex mental health conditions and establishing rapport with clients. \n
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. \n
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, including adherence to ethical standards and best clinical practices. \n

- Previous experience in community mental health settings or working with criminal justice referrals. \n
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and digital healthcare tools. \n
- Experience leading group therapies and psychoeducational workshops. \n
NewBetterYou Healthcare Services offers competitive compensation, with an annual salary range of $80,000 to $122,000 for full-time positions.
