Company OverviewTango Therapeutics is a biotechnology company dedicated to discovering novel drug targets and delivering the next generation of precision medicine for the treatment of cancer.Using an approach that starts and ends with patients, Tango leverages the genetic principle of synthetic lethality to discover and develop therapies that take aim at critical targets in cancer.This includes expanding the universe of precision oncology targets into novel areas such as tumor suppressor gene loss and their contribution to the ability of cancer cells to evade immune cell killing.The Tango labs and offices are located at 201 Brookline Avenue, in the Fenway area of Boston, Massachusetts.SummaryThe Operational Excellence and Training Lead enables scalable, efficient, and inspection‑ready execution across Development by designing standardized processes, building operational capabilities through training, and driving consistent adoption and continuous improvement.Your Role:Own and lead end‑to‑end design, implementation, and optimization of assigned process and system across DevelopmentTranslate strategic objectives into fit‑for‑purpose, standardized processes that are efficient, scalable, and inspection‑readyDefine process standards, guidance, and performance measures, ensuring clarity of roles and accountabilityDevelop and deliver training on new/changed processes incl. compliance expectations, and inspection readiness behaviorDesign and maintain role‑based and process‑based curricula, including onboardingIdentify inefficiencies, risks, and variability through data analysis and stakeholder input, and lead targeted improvement initiativesSupport functions in adopting new or improved processes through change management, training inputs, and practical guidanceEnsure processes are well documented, consistently applied, and auditable, supporting inspection readinessTrack and report process performance, improvement outcomes, and residual risks to Operational Excellence & Clinical Compliance leadershipAct as a subject‑matter expert and trusted advisor to functional teams on process excellence and operational rigorSupport Leadership in defining and executing the learning and capability‑building strategy for Development functionsSupport leadership in building a learning culture that reinforces accountability, consistency, and continuous improvementWhat You Bring:Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree required (Life Sciences, or related field)Advanced degree preferred (e.g., MBA, MSc)Certification or formal training in Operational Excellence, Lean, Six Sigma, or Process Improvement preferredRequired Experience8–10+ years’ experience in operational excellence, process improvement, training, or operational leadership within a regulated life sciences or clinical development environmentProven experience owning and implementing end‑to‑end processes or systems across multiple functionsHands‑on experience designing and delivering process and role‑based trainingExperience supporting audit and inspection readiness, including documentation and behavioral readinessRequired CompetenciesEnd‑to‑end process design, standardization, and optimizationLean / continuous improvement methodologiesTraining design, curriculum development, and adult learning principlesProcess documentation (SOPs, guidance, work instructions)Process performance metrics, KPIs, and dashboardingUnderstanding compliance and inspection expectations in regulated environments.Strong systems thinker able to translate strategy into executionExcellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder‑engagement skillsAbility to influence and drive adoption without direct authorityPragmatic change leader with strong execution disciplineTrusted advisor mindset with high credibility and accountabilityCollaborative, service‑oriented, and improvement‑focusedWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
