Host/Hostess : Bistro
The Host/Hostess position is responsible for seating guests in a prompt, friendly, and efficient manner and ensuring equal distribution of guests among servers. The Host/Hostess also ensures that guest experience and the environment is positive.
Essential Functions:
- Greets and seats customers.
- Supplies guests with information on services available on property.
- Answers phone calls and directs them appropriately.
- Accurately makes and cancels reservations.
- Effectively maintains wait and quote times.
- Takes orders over the phone, ensures all items are in a bag and ready for the guests.
- May handle cash transactions at the host stand.
- Accommodates any special needs of guests, i.e., boosters, highchairs, etc.
Performs other tasks as assigned.

Essential Functions:

Knowledge/Work Experience:
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or G.E.D preferred
- Experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Previous experience in gourmet or fine-dining preferred
- Must have a NYS Food Handlers Permit
