Registered NursePRN, 2nd ShiftEmergency DepartmentBaptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs. Additionally, the ED includes a behavioral health intake area designed to safely assess and manage patients presenting mental health and behavioral health concerns.The Registered Nurse provides compassionate, evidence-based nursing care through assessment, treatment, care coordination, patient and family education, and individualized care planning while supporting admissions, transfers, and discharges.The Registered Nurse (RN) implements professional nursing practice centered on the patient as a whole person, and the creation of a caring environment focused on healing and wellness.The Registered Nurse (RN) is an exemplar for compassion, acceptance, respect, and empathy honoring nursing as a distinct discipline and supporting an environment focused on healing and wellness.As a clinical nurse, this individual spends majority of his/her time (> 50%) coordinating, ensuring and providing direct patient care activities on the unit through: provision of nursing rounds, assessments and treatments; facilitating admission, transfer and discharge activities; provision of patient and family-centered education; care coordination and individualized treatment planning as applicable, etc.Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.Basic life support- Applicants will have 30 days from their hired date to provide completion of this certification if they don't have it already.ACLS/PALS/NRP and successful completion of dysrhythmia class as required by department of Assignment.Benefits:Preventive PlanRetirement PlansFlimp Decisions will help you pick the best value plan option given your expected medical needs.
