Operations Process Engineer (Capital System)
Johnson & Johnson
Operations Process Engineer supporting manufacturing execution and system integration for the OTTAVA Surgical Robotic Platform. This hands-on role provides technical support for manufacturing test activities, troubleshooting, and quality system execution in Santa Clara, California.
Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and escalate issues appropriately to cross-functional teams
- Support system integration and test activities with Manufacturing Associates and engineering partners
- Investigate manufacturing test failures using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis methods
- Support quality system activities including change controls, CAPAs, and nonconformance investigations
- Document technical findings and capture recurring failure modes to reduce production downtime
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline
- 0-4 years relevant engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, or laboratory work
- Hands-on experience with engineering testing, system integration, or technical troubleshooting
- Ability to interpret test results and systematically troubleshoot hardware and software failures
- Basic Python scripting experience and ability to read and debug scripts
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills
- 100% onsite availability in Santa Clara, California
