THE OPPORTUNITY

The Company is seeking an organized, proactive Expeditor to support its Engineered Systems business. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role follows critical materials, equipment, and supplies from purchase-order acknowledgement through delivery. The Expeditor partners with suppliers and internal project teams to protect manufacturing and construction schedules, maintain reliable delivery information, and resolve issues that could affect cost, quality, or customer commitments.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Track purchase orders, drawings, documentation, inspections, manufacturing milestones, shipping readiness, and final delivery.
• Coordinate supplier commitments with project production and site construction schedules; identify schedule risks and drive recovery actions.
• Prepare concise expediting reports for project managers and teams, clearly communicating current status, required decisions, and open actions.
• Maintain accurate promised and confirmed dates, supplier notes, and supporting records in SAP or the applicable ERP system.
• Lead or support supplier kickoff and progress meetings and promptly escalate delays, quality concerns, or incomplete documentation.
• Resolve shipment, receiving, invoice, and material discrepancies with Procurement, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Accounts Payable, and project personnel.
• Coordinate repair or replacement of defective, damaged, short, or nonconforming materials and support purchase-order closeout and supplier-performance reporting.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• 3-5 years of procurement, expediting, supply-chain, or project-material experience in manufacturing or engineered products.
• 2-4 years of experience with SAP Materials Management or a comparable ERP purchasing system.
• Working knowledge of purchasing, contract, and procurement principles and processes.
• Strong organization, prioritization, follow-through, judgment, and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication with suppliers, project teams, employees, and management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project; ability to manage multiple priorities and occasional overtime.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, procurement, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mechanical accessories, packaged equipment, fabrication, or energy-infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with supplier inspections, logistics, import/export documentation, and customs requirements.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Work authorization: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Company is unable to consider candidates who require visa sponsorship or transfer of an existing visa. Primarily office-based with occasional visits to manufacturing, warehouse, supplier, or project-site environments. Regular computer and telephone use is required; applicable PPE must be worn during site visits.
