Medical Assistant - Medicare Advantage Primary Care

Pay: $41,600-$47,840/year

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | No PRN, late starts, or early outs


Join a growing healthcare organization providing primary care to Medicare Advantage patients age 60+ in a relationship-focused, value-based care model. MAs work closely with the provider and have longer patient appointments focused on quality care and patient engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

• Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medical histories, and intake information
• Perform EKGs, injections, routine screenings, and other clinical procedures
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with lab-related duties
• Complete health screenings, including PHQ-9 and diabetic retinopathy screenings
• Provide health coaching and communicate findings to the provider
• Assist with quality measures and close patient care gaps
• Process patient messages, return calls, and communicate information to patients/providers
• Assist with dressings, bandages, suture removal, and other first-aid procedures
• Complete urgent/stat referrals and support administrative needs as needed

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience
• 6+ months of phlebotomy experience highly preferred
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• High school diploma or GED required
• EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience
• MA certification/diploma preferred but not required

• Adaptable and comfortable learning new processes
• Team-oriented and willing to help wherever needed
• Reliable and punctual, with the ability to be ready for work by 8:00 AM
