Accounting Manager

Job Description

Our client is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit coordination. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing accurate financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business through timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a lean manufacturing environment where priorities can change, processes may be manual, and resourcefulness is essential to meeting deadlines and driving results.

Responsibilities

\n
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
\n
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
\n
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, analyze financial results, and explain significant variances.
\n
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
\n
• Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and audit deliverables.
\n
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
\n
• Support inventory, fixed asset, accrual, and other accounting activities.
\n
• Assist with ad hoc projects and accounting/finance-related tasks.
\n
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

\n

\n

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
\n
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in public accounting (audit preferred).
\n
• Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
\n
• Experience leading the month-end close and annual audit process.
\n
• CPA preferred.
\n
• SAP or ERP experience preferred.
