Salary Range: $55,000 - $85,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Holland that are seeking skilled Lead Machinists. Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and train junior machinists on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machinery for precision part fabrication.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues to maintain production schedules.
• Perform quality control inspections on finished products to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and perform preventative maintenance on all shop machinery and tooling.
• Manage material inventory and order necessary supplies for machining operations.

Recommended Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot a variety of manual and CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
• Demonstrated expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T specifications.
• Strong understanding of material properties, cutting tools, and machining processes for various metals and alloys.
• Experience in leading or mentoring junior machinists and contributing to process improvement initiatives.
• Ability to perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments and ensure adherence to tight tolerances.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAD/CAM software for programming CNC machines
• Demonstrated ability to train and mentor junior machinists
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
• Certification in a specialized machining technique (e.g., EDM, laser cutting)
• Proven track record of independently troubleshooting complex machinery issues
