MRI Technologist
The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures to ensure high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging. This role requires flexibility in scheduling and the ability to float between different facilities as needed to support patient care.
This position involves a 12-hour night shift with a commitment to work 1-2 weekends a month. The technologist must be adaptable to changing schedules to meet unit needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform MRI procedures on patients, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Maintain effective communication with healthcare team members.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain the cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
- Document and manage patient information using Epic EMR.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- BLS certification required.
- ARRT or ARMRIT license in MRI with advanced licensure required.
- Experience with Philips MRI equipment is necessary.
- A minimum of 1 year of MRI tech experience is required.
- Prior travel experience is preferred.
- Epic EMR experience within the last 2 years is mandatory.
- Experience in a teaching hospital setting is required.
