NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center is seeking a skilled and innovative Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, and integration of electrical systems for spaceflight hardware and ground support equipment. This role is critical to advancing NASA's mission in propulsion, space systems, and exploration technologies. You'll work alongside world-class engineers and scientists to design solutions that power the future of space travel.
Essential Job Duties - Design, analyze, and test electrical systems for aerospace applicationsDevelop schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documentsSupport integration of electrical components with mechanical and software systemsConduct troubleshooting and failure analysis of electrical hardwareEnsure compliance with NASA standards, safety protocols, and quality assurance requirementsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support mission objectivesParticipate in lab operations, environmental testing, and flight certification processes
Qualifications (Education, Experience and Specialized Training) - Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering, or related field2+ years of experience in electrical design, testing, or systems integration (aerospace or defense experience preferred)Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, Altium Designer, or similar platformsStrong understanding of circuit design, power systems, and signal integrityMust be a US citizenPreferred experience with NASA programs, spaceflight hardware, or propulsion systems

Skills and Attributes - Excellent problem-solving and communication skillsKnowledge of EMI/EMC standards and mitigation techniquesFamiliarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), embedded systems, or FPGA developmentUnderstanding of reliability engineering and fault tolerance in aerospace environments
