Customer Logistics Supervisor

Summary The Customer Logistics Supervisor, reporting to the Manager, oversees day‑to‑day logistics operations, provides coaching, development, and training to staff, and recommends improvements to facility, equipment, machinery, and processes. The role ensures staff performance meets standards and drives progress toward business objectives. Essential Responsibilities Supervise, coordinate and oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations. Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to meet company standards and customer service specifications. Establish work schedules and procedures, coordinating activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics. Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and collaborate with customer on all aspects of operations. Meet regularly with team members—collectively and individually—to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes. Cultivate team spirit through a diversity and inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes. Conduct performance evaluations, recommend awards or merit increases, and address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary processes. Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees. Implement health & safety and security initiatives, ensuring adherence to company rules and policies. Provide orientation for employees and lead Hands, giving them the information, technology, and materials necessary to perform their jobs. Perform other duties as assigned. Key Qualifications High School diploma or GED (required). One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse or distribution (preferred). Zero to one (1) year direct supervisory/leadership experience (required). No DOT regulation required. Skills & Abilities Strong planning and results-oriented mindset. Effective leadership, motivating, and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop commitment to organizational goals. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self‑driven, flexible, and able to operate in a fast‑paced environment. High degree of initiative, multi-tasking, outstanding organization, time management, and detail orientation. Capability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $60,000 – $70,000 per year (salaried). Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan.
