Job Description:
Core Workflow Knowledge (Expected Capability)

• Template Creation Process
  • Set up work templates
  • Add sections (cover page, body pages, assembly)
  • Define section details (page specs, materials, layout)
• Production Configuration
  • Assign appropriate press from press pool
  • Assign tasks (print, finishing, assembly)
• Template Usage
  • Apply templates during estimate creation
  • Adjust templates based on job requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Technical / Functional
  • Strong understanding of print production workflows
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., Avanti or similar)
  • Experience with job costing, estimating, or production planning
• Operational
  • Knowledge of end-to-end print process and job lifecycle
  • Ability to interpret customer requirements and convert into production workflows
• Analytical
  • Strong attention to detail in cost, process, and workflow mapping
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies and standardize processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in print operations, commercial print, or digital production environments
• Experience with workflow systems

Key Responsibilities

1. Work Template Development
   • Design and build reusable work templates in ERP
   • Structure templates into logical sections (cover pages, body pages, assembly/finishing)
   • Ensure templates support consistent, accurate, and efficient estimate generation
2. Print Workflow & Process Knowledge
   • Apply understanding of print production processes (up-on-sheet, single/double-sided printing, bleeds, layouts, imposition)
   • Translate workflow steps into ERP-based template structures
   • Ensure alignment between production reality and system configuration
3. Materials & Finishing Expertise
   • Apply knowledge of paper stocks (type, weight, finish)
   • Incorporate binding, cutting, coating, and finishing options into templates
   • Ensure accurate costing and job setup
4. ERP Configuration & Setup
   • Build and configure templates directly within ERP system
   • Maintain template accuracy, version control, and updates
   • Partner with operations and IT teams for system enhancements and optimization
5. Estimation Enablement
   • Enable users (estimators, project managers) to quickly generate estimates using templates
   • Allow customization of templates for unique jobs
   • Reduce manual work and minimize estimation errors
6. Continuous Improvement (PDCA Approach)
   • Analyze estimation accuracy and production feedback
   • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or errors in templates
   • Refine and improve templates using Plan-Do-Check-Act methodology
