Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7A - 7P

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Travel RN to join our high-acuity progressive/intermediate care unit specializing in cardiac care. This fast-paced unit requires a strong team player capable of adapting to various situations while maintaining effective communication and collaboration within the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-cath care including management of TAVRs, ablations, and pacemaker implantations.
• Deliver pre and post-operative care for open-heart surgical patients and vascular surgery patients.
• Conduct neurovascular checks and manage chest tubes.
• Administer various cardiac drips such as heparin, diltiazem, and amiodarone among others.
• Utilize tele and transport monitoring equipment effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 1-year current PCU hospital experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Experience with chest tube management, 12 lead EKGs, and oxygen management (up to BIPAP & heated hi-flow) is highly preferred.
