The Janitor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and customers. This position supports Didlake's mission by ensuring facilities are well maintained, sanitary, and compliant with safety and quality standards.


What You Will Do


The Janitor independently performs routine and detailed cleaning duties across a variety of workspaces, including but not limited to:

• Clean offices, corridors, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, escalators, break rooms, libraries, kitchenettes/pantries, stairways, locker rooms, showers, and other assigned areas

• Sweep and mop floors using appropriate tools and equipment

• Vacuum rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies

• Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment

• Polish metal fixtures, fittings, and trim

• Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, door panels, and sills

• Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and recyclables to designated disposal areas

• Replenish restroom and facility supplies

• Follow all safety standards and guidelines in the use of cleaning equipment and materials

• Maintain quality standards for all assigned work

• Complete and maintain all Didlake-required training

• Demonstrate appropriate conduct and professionalism in accordance with Didlake policies

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED OR

• A minimum of 6 months of previous custodial or janitorial work experience

Skills & Abilities

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Ability to follow simple but detailed instructions

• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers

• Positive, team-oriented attitude

• Ability to interact effectively with employees with disabilities

• Ability to work in environments with narrow, moving, and/or slippery surfaces
