We are looking for a Process Engineer who will help lead the execution of Quality and Process Improvement projects and activities using standard PI tools such as Qualpro, MVT/DOE, Kepner Tregoe PSDM. Use a Hierarchy of values (Safety, Quality, Service, Cost) in prioritizing, using plans and executing capital improvements resulting from these projects. **To support our founding team in Newton, we are offering a $10,000 sign-on bonus for this position.** **Essential Duties*** Lead process design reviews, raw material qualification and product and process qualification and capability studies.* Performs PPA/FMEA on all major process and raw material changes.* Train production personnel on Statistical process Control (SPC).* Leads the application and interpretation of SPC charting Train and educates personnel on company products, plant and corporate quality policies and procedures; including internal and external personnel, suppliers and customers.* Conduct internal compliance audits of production tests, process specifications, plant change notices (PCN’s) and other in-plant processes.* Coordinate Plant Trials with R&D and plant personnel.* Ensures trials are accurately conducted and reported.**Qualifications Required*** Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering* 5+ years process engineering experience* Must have the ability to lead a team* Works well in difficult and time pressure situations* Demonstrated knowledge of engineering fundamentals and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, PLC and AutoCAD.**General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*** Computer (intermediate knowledge)* Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) (intermediate knowledge)* Google (G-Suite) (intermediate knowledge)* Analytical and problem solving skills (intermediate knowledge)**Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*** Coatings application process (entry knowledge)* Project Management, Planning, and Scheduling (entry to intermediate knowledge)* Material handling (entry to intermediate knowledge)* Engineering / equipment design (entry to intermediate knowledge)* Regulations of safe handling and registration of materials (entry knowledge)**Physical Demands*** Stationary Position - Frequently* Move/Traverse - Frequently* Stationary Position/Seated - Frequently* Transport/Lifting - Frequently* Transport/Carrying -* Exerting Force/Pushing -* Exerting Force/Pulling -* Ascend/Descend -* Balancing -* Position Self/Stooping - Frequently* Position Self/Kneeling - Frequently* Position Self/Crouching -* Position Self/Crawling -* Reaching -* Handling -* Grasping -* Feeling -* Communicate/Talking -* Communicate/Hearing -* Repetitive Motions -* Coordination -Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
