Role Summary/Purpose: Our Digital Apply, Buy, and Servicing applications and platforms are visited by 1B visitors annually and are the virtual face of Synchrony. We are seeking a Kanban Product Owner to lead the development and implementation of Digital Acquisition enhancements. The ideal candidate will have a strong IT background, excel at frequent communication, strong project management skills, and have a strong track record of delivering changes as requested and on time. This position will report to the VP, Digital Apply Train Leader. Essential Responsibilities: Partner with multiple internal and external sources to understand upcoming feature requests and scope. technical implementation details, and configuration limitations. Review technical implementation details of new features to advise agile teams for impacts to client rollout. Similarly to challenge other System Engineers to ensure new feature development is scalable to the enterprise Lead offshore development teams in both New Client Implementations and existing client change requests. Act as a liaison between the development teams and the business requestors. Work with internal stakeholders to facilitate wing to wing UAT prior to any production environment changes. Partner with IT production Support teams to identify and validate consistencies between UAT and production environments. Ensure continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and provide increased functionality Collaborate with Agile Product Owners and System Engineers to understand new feature requests and implementation details. Partner with Digital Analytics team to monitor A/B test results using Adobe Analytics, including analyzing and resolving any identified issues. Support and aid in any Legal/Compliance items related to Production configuration changes Develop a deep understanding of the Digital Apply and Installments acquisition platforms and provide input (to other Product Owners) about future product features or enhancements. Develop streamlined processes to ensure production change releases without adverse impact to existing functionality. Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's Degree. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma/GED and 5+ years of IT project management experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in software engineering or IT project management Extensive experience with bulk configuration tools and large-scale configuration process improvements using Oracle stored procedures Extensive experience with Oracle Universal Content Management system and content configurations across Java and REACT technologies Experience with enterprise platform builds using Java EE, Spring / Spring Boot, and REACT technologies Experience with the implementation of RESTful and SOAP based web services Experience querying and troubleshooting Splunk / Splunk Cloud indices to support new business initiatives Experience querying and troubleshooting Oracle and MySQL Database with non-normalized data structures Experience in the credit card, financial services, or other highly regulated industry Experience with the following software tools: SQL Developer Oracle Webcenter Postman Dynamic Yield Administration Tool Splunk for log analysis Jira Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required Desired Characteristics: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science Experience with Eclipse and Jira Align Experience configuring AES encryption methods with outside parties to ensure application security Experience with Agile Kanban software development framework, preferably acting as a Development Lead or Product Owner. Curious and passionate about the customer experience, with a proven record of creative problem solving. Self-motivated, strong communicator (written/verbal) who thrives in a highly-matrixed and virtual/hybrid environment. Strong track record of delivering changes on time and as requested. Grade/Level: 10 The salary range for this position is 75,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance. Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge. Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle. New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
