Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: RN - OB Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Must-Have: EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a care plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the care plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and safety. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Identifies expected outcomes for patients. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide safe, humane, and caring patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients and families. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and the treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients by adhering to required vaccinations.
