Teacher - Physical Education, Gr. K-6 [Alighieri 0.2FTE / Conley 0.5FTE] (SY26-27) Job Description This position is paired between the following schools: Teacher - Health and Wellness, Gr. K-6 [0.5FTE] Conley / Teacher - Physical Education [0.2FTE] Alighieri. The position is posted online at both schools. You need to apply to only one position to be considered, but may apply to both. Qualifications – Required Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree. Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Physical Education at the appropriate level. Meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified. Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching established by BPS as outlined above. Current authorization to work in the United States – Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment. Qualifications – Preferred Experience teaching in urban schools. BPS is particularly interested in candidates who are fluent in one of BPS' official languages: Spanish, Creole (Cape Verdean), Creole (Haitian), Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, & Somali.
