RN - Telemetry

Registered Nurse (RN)Join a dynamic neuro telemetry unit with 32 beds, offering innovative care in a fast-paced environment. You will be working with patients with a variety of diagnoses, including trached patients, strokes, traumatic brain injuries, and other neurological conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-quality nursing care to neuro telemetry patients.Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs.Administer medications, including titrated drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin.Complete SIMs Lab skills assessment for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes.Maintain compliance with sterile field procedures and safety standards.Assist with lifts, restraints, and wound care, adapting to facility-specific equipment and policies.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.Provide education and support to patients and their families.QualificationsActive RN license required.Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience, with Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred.Neuro experience highly preferred.Certifications: BLS and ACLS.Ability to interpret EKGs and handle central monitoring.Experience with patient ratios of 1:4.Natural hair color and no facial piercings are required; men must be clean shaven for fit testing.Work ScheduleFull-time positions available with 12-hour night shifts. The schedule includes a requirement of 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks, with holidays assigned based on unit coverage.Additional InformationFloating to Med/Tele units may be required.Orientation includes 2 days on the floor, focusing on specific unit protocols.Cancellations may occur, with the possibility of up to 4 shifts cancelled during a 13-week assignment.Support from SWAT RNs available for difficult IV access.Charting via Cerner electronic medical records.If you are a dedicated and knowledgeable registered nurse, looking to advance your career in a challenging and rewarding environment, we encourage you to apply to join our team in City, State.
