Vice President, Deputy Treasurer

Gilead Sciences seeks a Vice President, Deputy Treasurer to lead its global Treasury organization alongside the Senior Vice President, Treasurer. This executive will oversee approximately 20 professionals across Treasury Operations, Capital Markets, Investments, and Financial Risk Management while supporting capital allocation, liquidity optimization, and strategic priorities in partnership with Finance leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee global Treasury Operations including cash management, liquidity planning, and banking infrastructure
- Lead capital markets execution, investment portfolio management, and foreign exchange risk mitigation programs
- Direct Treasury modernization initiatives focused on automation and AI-enabled process improvements
- Lead, mentor, and develop global Treasury team of approximately 20 professionals
- Partner with Treasurer and CFO on capital allocation, strategic priorities, and stakeholder relationships
Requirements
- Extensive Treasury leadership experience in complex multinational public companies
- Demonstrated expertise across Treasury Operations, Capital Markets, and Financial Risk Management
- Proven ability to lead and develop global teams of 15+ professionals
- Strong background in capital structure planning, debt issuances, and liquidity management
- Experience with Treasury modernization, automation, and process optimization initiatives
- Established relationships with banking partners, rating agencies, and debt investors
