Core Lending Application Engineer (Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Core Lending Application Engineer to join the IT Core Lending team. The ideal candidate will have strong application development, system integration, and automation experience within banking or lending environments.

This role will focus on developing and enhancing lending applications, building automation solutions, integrating enterprise systems through APIs and web services, and improving overall application performance.

Experience with Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity is highly preferred.

• Design, develop, enhance, and support applications within the Core Lending environment.
• Develop and enhance business capabilities on Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity platforms.
• Build automation solutions to streamline lending processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Design and support integrations using REST APIs, SOAP, web services, and other integration technologies .
• Develop and maintain applications and scripts using Java, Python, JavaScript, and Linux Shell scripting .
• Work with MS SQL Server and Oracle databases, including complex queries, data analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Support NoSQL databases and data-driven application requirements.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports as required.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and performance issues and provide effective solutions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation across lending applications.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, developers, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other technical teams.
• Participate in application upgrades, implementations, testing, production deployments, and post-production support.
• Ensure applications meet organizational security, performance, reliability, and compliance requirements.

• 8 10 years of application development or application engineering experience.
• Strong programming experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, and Linux Shell scripting .
• Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SOAP, web services, and system integrations .
• Strong SQL skills with MS SQL Server and/or Oracle .
• Experience working with NoSQL databases .
• Experience developing or supporting Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions .
• Strong application troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with enterprise applications in complex production environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with both technical and business teams.

• Hands-on experience with Fiserv Loan Director / Velocity .
• Strong understanding of core banking, consumer lending, loan origination, or loan servicing systems .
• Experience with Fiserv DNA .
• Experience with Temenos Collections .
• Previous experience working in a bank, credit union, financial services, or lending environment .
• Experience with application modernization, automation, and system integration projects.
