Job Title: Assembly Technician – Hydraulic Actuators (2nd Shift)

Job Description

This role focuses on preparing, assembling, and testing hydraulic actuator products and components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will use a variety of hand and power tools, follow assembly drawings, perform functional testing, and maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety and lean manufacturing principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble products and components using a variety of hand tools and basic production equipment.
• Build and assemble different parts of hydraulic actuators using hand and power tools.
• Accurately read and interpret assembly drawings to assemble repetitive products to specification.
• Perform all phases of assembly, including timing and mechanical adjustments as required.
• Conduct functional tests on finished assemblies to verify proper performance and quality.
• Follow all safety procedures, guidelines, and company policies while performing daily tasks.
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the assembly process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by regularly cleaning and arranging tools, equipment, and materials.
• Actively participate in high-performance teams and company-sponsored training programs.
• Complete additional duties, projects, and assignments as directed by leadership.

Essential Skills

• Experience using hand tools and power tools in an assembly or mechanical environment.
• Ability to lift 40+ pounds consistently throughout the shift.
• Ability to stand for 10+ hours per day in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong attention to detail when following assembly drawings, instructions, and quality standards.
• Basic math skills to support measurement, counting, and production-related calculations.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and adhere to company policies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Production or manufacturing experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is preferred.
• Experience with wrenches, hand tools, and power tools in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and basic mechanical systems is beneficial.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and development programs.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing machine shop environment that produces hydraulic actuators. The role is on 2nd shift, typically from 1:15 PM to 9:45 PM, with opportunities for overtime that can bring total weekly hours to around 50. You will work with hand and power tools, mechanical assemblies, and production equipment in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. The environment emphasizes a strong safety culture, adherence to safety procedures, and lean manufacturing principles. You will spend most of the shift standing, lifting components up to and over 40 pounds, and working at assembly stations in a professional manufacturing facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Enumclaw, WA.

The pay range for this position is $24.63 - $24.63/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
