Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Morrisville Adult Day Care

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility

• Monitor and document clients’ health status and report any changes to the nursing staff

• Support clients in participating in recreational and social activities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff

• Follow all safety and health protocols to ensure client well-being

• Collaborate with team members to deliver personalized care plans

Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid CNA license in the state of employment

• Proven experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

• Compassionate, patient, and respectful attitude towards clients

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy standards

Requirements

Education & Certification Requirements

• Minimum ofHigh School Diplomaor equivalent required

• Associate’s Degreeor completion of a two-year technical program preferred

• Current CNA Certificaterequired

• CPR certificationpreferred

• Valid NYS Driver’s Licensewith a clean record required

Experience Required:

• Prior experience working with adults diagnosed withDementiaand/orIntellectual Disabilities.

• Demonstrated understanding ofhealth care practices, including patient safety, daily living support, and person-centered care.

• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Commitment to maintaining dignity, respect, and quality of life for individuals receiving care.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Must maintaingood physical and mental healthwith the ability to perform duties objectively under stress.

• Ability tostand and/or walk for the majority of the workday.

• Regularly required topush or pull equipmentand assist registrants in wheelchairs.

• Must be capable of handling the physical requirements of caregiving while maintaining professionalism and compassion.

Salary Description

$18.50 - $20 per hour
