Software Development Engineer, Agentic Workspaces

Salary: $143,400 - 143,400 per year Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional software development experience outside of internships
• 2+ years of experience in design or architecture for new or existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• 1+ years of experience as a software development engineer or in a related role
• 1+ years of experience designing and building large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl
• 1+ years of object-oriented design experience
• Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Experience programming in at least one software language
• Preferred: 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Preferred: Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and deliver features and systems within On-Instance Software, shaping how the on-instance layer evolves to host and govern AI agents alongside human users
• Lead the work to unify Windows and Linux features from a single codebase, and collaborate with EC2, identity providers, self-service troubleshooting, and platform teams on architectural decisions
• Design and implement identity, security, and governance capabilities for a shared desktop environment where humans and agents are treated as first-class principals
• Own low-latency, highly available provisioning and agent services used by more than one million WorkSpaces users worldwide across multiple regions, partitions, and OS variants
• Improve engineering quality through instrumentation, automated testing, and pipeline-based deployments while reducing manual effort and shipping features across Windows and Linux
• Explore and advance AI-enabled capabilities such as conversational setup, natural-language troubleshooting, and AI-assisted fleet management
• Strengthen customer self-service so operating system breadth, safe automatic updates, and dependable provisioning are delivered without adding operational burden
