Occupational Health Nurse II

The Occupational Health Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive occupational health services to employees, including injury and illness management, workplace health programs, medical surveillance activities, and emergency response support. This role partners closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources, managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Key Responsibilities The Occupational Health Registered Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive occupational health services to employees, including injury and illness management, workplace health programs, medical surveillance activities, and emergency response support. This role partners closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS), Human Resources, managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a safe and healthy work environment. Provide occupational health services, including first aid, assessment, treatment, and care for workplace injuries and illnesses. Manage workers’ compensation cases, including case management, return-to-work coordination, and injury prevention initiatives. Administer and maintain medical surveillance programs, health screenings, occupational health protocols, and required records/logs. Coordinate occupational health and safety programs in alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain inventory and oversight of medical supplies and equipment. Deliver employee health and safety training as applicable. Participate in emergency response activities and cross-functional site teams. Collaborate with EHS, Human Resources, managers, supervisors, and employees to support workplace health and safety objectives. Monitor and analyze injury and illness trends, implementing proactive measures to reduce workplace incidents and workers’ compensation costs. Support compliance with occupational health regulations, policies, and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required. Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license required. 2 to 4 years of occupational health, employee health, workers’ compensation, or related clinical nursing experience preferred. Strong knowledge of case management, workplace injury management, and health and safety programs. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
