Shipping/Receiving Clerk

We are seeking an organized, reliable, and analytical Shipping & Receiving Clerk to join our team in Greensboro, NC. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies to ensure our facility operations run smoothly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Inbound Logistics: Promptly unload delivery trucks, weigh, sort, and stock incoming products to ensure quick inventory access and precise tracking.

• Outbound Logistics: Wrap, label, and stage outgoing shipments. Load outbound trucks and verify that all loaded materials accurately match the Bills of Lading.

• Documentation & Tracking: Match shipping documents, log all incoming/outgoing shipments, and update shipment statuses to maintain full visibility and accountability.

• Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Customer Service, Procurement, service providers, and third-party carriers to coordinate smooth transport and delivery.

• Receiving & Internal Distribution: Process daily inbound packages and promptly notify recipients across the organization.

• Safety & Workplace Standards: Keep the warehouse and dock areas clean, organized, and safe at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse role.

• Certification: Active Forklift Certification required.

• Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Skills:  analytical thinking, sharp organizational skills, and clear communication abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move continuously for up to 4 hours at a time.

• Ability to regularly lift, move, and position heavy items ranging from 50 to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with Procurement, Customer Service, Service Providers, and other stakeholders involved in the shipping and receiving processes.
• Match shipping documents, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain visibility and accountability
• Promptly unload trucks and deliveries, weighing, sorting, and stocking products to facilitate quick access and inventory management
• Wrap, label & stage outgoing shipments, coordinating shipments with Customer Service, loading outbound trucks, assuring loaded materials agree with Bills of Lading.
• Maintain shipping and receiving log
• Complete daily inbound receiving of products and packages, notifying recipients promptly to ensure timely distribution
• Maintain a clean, organized area to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

The essential functions of this role include:
