Utility Associate-3rd Shift

SHIFT DETAILS:Monday-Friday 9:00pm-5:30amPay Rate-$18.95Benefits available Day OneOn the job trainingReferral BonusPRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for filling in/performing all jobs in assigned area/department in absence of regular worker. Trains new and current associates on jobs in area as needed. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Independently fills in and performs work while regular worker absent from workstation.Distributes knives prior to shift start, swaps out knives during shift and collects knives at end of shiftSets up assigned lines with stands and iceTrains/cross-trains incoming or current workers on new skills as neededMaintains clean and sanitary work area around assigned linePerforms all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.Other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not requiredBasic math skillsEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Ability to perform one or more functions of deboning processDemonstrated leadership abilitiesAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral characterSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Stand up to 8 hoursLift up to 60 lbsWork in a wet and cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)Will be exposed to noise of > 85 decibels, CO2 and moving production equipmentAbility to lift 10 lbs repeatedly and climb stepsAbility to frequently kneel, crawl, stoop, and bendWork around raw, live animal odorsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Wayne Farms LLC
