Role Summary

The team is looking for a Senior Data Systems Analyst to join the team and drive our organization's metrics initiative to measure and report on projects, capabilities, service offerings, department health, etc. for our organization. We look for team members who will suggest creative and new ways to develop and deliver technical solutions. This initiative will be highly impactful by empowering business leaders to turn data into doing. The role involves ownership and technical delivery, working closely with other members (Data Engineer and Business Intelligence Engineers, Business Product Owners, Salesforce.com Delivery team and Operations teams). What you'll get to do

• Work with product managers and business teams to gather requirements, improve data presentation, data context and foster data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Perform data analysis of data sources to ensure data integrity
• Understand GTM & CS business processes and metrics. Lead data discovery sessions with business teams, comprising product owners, data analysts, and cross-team technologists to understand enterprise data requirements of analytics projects.
• Document detailed requirements (user stories) and functional specifications for data & BI engineers to develop the dashboard
• Partner with program managers to develop project plans, track risks, issues and action items.
• Partner with business domain experts, system analysts, data/application architects and development teams to ensure data design is aligned with business strategy and direction
• Dive deep, as required, to assist Data Engineers and Business Intelligence Engineers through technical hurdles impacting delivery

Must-have Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a STEM field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years experience in hi-tech industry
• 4+ years experience in sales and customer support business process and metrics
• 5+ years of experience in analysis, design and development of reporting and business intelligence solutions in a data warehouse environment
• 4+ years of data visualization experience with CRM Analytics (previously known as Tableau CRM or SFDC Wave Analytics)
• 4+ years of experience working with Snowflake.
• Experience in publishing and maintaining reports, dashboards and data sources in Tableau Online/Cloud.
• Demonstrable ability to develop database queries (SQL) for analysis and exploration.
• Solid understanding of testing methodology to test dashboards for functionality, data consistency and performance issues.
• Familiarity with formal data modeling paradigms (star & snowflake schemas).
• Ability to lead requirement gathering sessions with the users and not afraid of asking right questions.
• Strong knowledge and experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and iterative practices in a service delivery lifecycle
• Ability to collaborate with data stewards and other individuals throughout the organization to accomplish common goals.
• Demonstrated experience with clear and concise verbal and written communication and documentation.

• Experience working in SaaS Environment
• Knowledge and familiarity with reporting on CRM application (e.g. Salesforce)
• Ability to work independently and be self-directed as needed.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $116,000.00 - 159,500.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $104,800.00 - 144,100.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
