Warehouse Associate

SEMO Tank PositionSEMO Tank (a wholly owned subsidiary of Dairy Farmers of America) sells, leases, and repairs tank trailers and offers a vast inventory of related parts for resale. This position requires the ability to perform active work throughout the scheduled shift and coordinate the timely processing of incoming shipments, confirming physical receipt of items to PO's and packing slips.Job Duties and Responsibilities:Provide outstanding service by ensuring customer orders are processed both timely and accurately and that any customer concerns are addressed promptly by all members of the teamAssist all departments in locating and delivering parts to the appropriate areas within the companyUnload and unpack incoming shipments and identify items for accuracy and correct quantitiesRetrieve pick tickets from the sales team; pick, verify, and stage items from inventory; and prepare orders for shipment, including both small parcel (ground) and palletized freight shipmentsPackage, label, and organize shipments appropriately—boxing ground orders and palletizing larger orders for scheduled freight pickupDetermine the most efficient and cost-effective shipping method based on order requirementsCoordinate carrier pickups (parcel and freight) and generate all required shipping documentationMaintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipmentsConsolidate shipping orders when applicable to improve efficiency and reduce costsIdentify and assemble product hose assembliesWork in conjunction with SEMO's Purchasing & Inventory Manager to ensure inventory accuracyWork in conjunction with SEMO's Purchasing & Inventory Manager to identify and correct inventory deficienciesAttend departmental training, such as safety and equipment trainingPossess sufficient strength and physical dexterity to lift 25-55 lbs. frequently demands and work environment to perform the duties and responsibilities of this jobWear required PPE at all times and observe health, safety, and environmental policiesExhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgmentThe requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
