Description

The Robert E. Spiller Bowling Green Veterans Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for theCommonwealth of Kentucky's Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence,preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care.

The Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for caring for the Veterans of the Robert E. Spiller BowlingGreen Veterans Center.

This is a 2nd Shift position.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Performs nursing duties under direction of a physician.
• Performs medical treatments and administers medications as prescribed.
• Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the RN clinical skills.
• Supervises other clinical staff in administering care to the residents and documents essential information.

This position, Warren County, has an approved Locality Premium of $11.08 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034Section 9(1).

This job classification is approved for the following shift premiums, in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(2), which are applied to the base salary:

• Second & Third shift: 15%
• Weekend: 25%
• Holidays: 25%

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be licensed in Kentucky as a registered nurse or possess a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Working Conditions

Work is typically performed in a hospital or institutional setting. May be exposed to hazards common in hospitals or institutional settings which requires the following of safety procedures.

Probationary Period

This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
