Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Data Center Operations team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technician - Technical IT 4

Location: Fayetteville, GA

Duration: 18 Months on W2

Pay Range: $38 - $41/hour + Benefits & PTO

M-F 8-5p

What's the Job?

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches according to detailed instructions and protocols.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks, ensuring proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in compliance with safety standards and deployment guidelines.
• Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifying issues and replacing faulty components to maintain optimal system performance.
• Decommission hardware for simple upgrades or refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, with minimal supervision.
• Communicate, report, and escalate incidents effectively to the Data Center Technician Leads, ensuring smooth operations and issue resolution.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
• At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
