The Fountain Group is currently seeking an R&D Technician II for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Worcester, MA . Details for the position are as follows:
Job Title: R&D Technician IILocation: Worcester, MA - 100% Onsite
Pay Rate: $34-$31/hr
Duration: 4 months Job Description Support the Global Compound Logistics and Operations (GCLO) Sample Management Lab with receipt, inventory management, dispensing, storage, and shipment of biological R&D samples . Maintain physical and electronic inventory records, manage -80°C freezers , perform aseptic aliquoting of biological materials , and support sample order fulfillment. Use ShipIt shipping software to process and track shipments, receive and stock laboratory supplies, and properly dispose of laboratory waste. Support laboratory automation and troubleshooting as needed. Education
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or a related scientific discipline .
- Significant coursework in Biology .
- 2-4+ years of experience in biologics sample processing or a related laboratory field.
- Biologic material handling and sample processing
- Laboratory techniques and practices
- Biological sample inventory management
- Aseptic technique and aliquoting
- -80°C freezer operation and maintenance
- Biological sample receipt, dispensing, and storage
- Laboratory sample tracking and inventory databases
- Biological material order fulfillment and shipment processing
- Automated liquid handlers / laboratory automation
- Laboratory automation troubleshooting
- Experience working in a bio-hood
- Chemical inventory information systems
- Laboratory inventory databases
