Project Coordinator – Construction

Location: Fairbanks, Alaska
Pay: $33.65–$40.87/hour DOE | Approximately $70,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Take an active role in keeping construction projects organized, moving forward, and connected from contract award through completion. This Project Coordinator position supports project scheduling, documentation, budgets, materials, subcontractor coordination, and customer communication within a busy construction environment.

The role works closely with management, shop personnel, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to track project progress, maintain accurate records, coordinate project needs, and address scheduling or administrative issues as they arise. This position also provides secondary support for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoicing, payment tracking, and account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate construction projects from contract award through project completion
• Develop and maintain project schedules, timelines, budgets, and documentation
• Track project milestones and help resolve scheduling or administrative issues
• Communicate project status, priorities, and updates with management, shop personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and customers
• Maintain organized project files, contracts, change orders, customer records, and financial documentation
• Coordinate material orders, deliveries, permits, and subcontractor scheduling as needed
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, providing project updates and responding to questions or concerns
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate project tracking information
• Support compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable safety standards
• Process vendor invoices and assist with Accounts Payable functions
• Prepare customer invoices, apply payments, reconcile accounts, and assist with Accounts Receivable and collections
• Provide additional administrative and operational support as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in project coordination, construction administration, or a related field
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, billing, and general accounting practices
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to work with project management and accounting software
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment
