About the Role:

The IT Specialist provides hands-on technology support for Voltava's manufacturing facility, ensuring Team Members have the systems, hardware, applications, and connectivity they need to work effectively. This role supports both business and production-related technology, troubleshoots technical issues, maintains network infrastructure, and helps protect the Company's systems and information.

You'll work closely with Team Members and IT partners to resolve issues, implement technology improvements, support system upgrades, and introduce new solutions that improve reliability and productivity.

What You Will Do:

• Provide hands-on technical support for plant systems, production applications, hardware, software, scanning, and printing.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day hardware and software support.
• Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, wireless, and other network infrastructure.
• Monitor systems proactively, identify issues, and coordinate escalation and resolution.
• Support hardware, operating system, software, and system upgrades while maintaining security and system integrity.
• Set up, configure, and deploy computers, devices, applications, and related technology.
• Support Microsoft 365 and other business applications.
• Create and maintain technical procedures, workflows, and documentation.
• Train Team Members on hardware, software, and technology applications.
• Partner with IT and plant teams to implement technology improvements and support change initiatives.
• Provide responsive, customer-focused support while managing multiple priorities.

What You Need to Be Successful:

• 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or a related technical field.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, technical training, certifications, and experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and client/server environments.
• Experience supporting hardware, software, applications, and end users in a manufacturing or business environment.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple requests and projects.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Helpdesk experience
• Experience supporting manufacturing or production applications.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Windows Server, VMware/vCenter, or Microsoft Project.
• Experience with handheld barcode scanners and industrial printing systems.
• Experience supporting wireless networks and plant-floor technology.
• Experience with Visual Basic, VB.NET, or macro development.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and other Microsoft technologies.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi or similar embedded technologies.
• IT, networking, or other relevant technical certifications.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent specialized training or certification.
• Technical certifications, college or equivalent work experience in hardware, programming, application support and operations are desired.
