Requirements

• Provide
  
  
  preventive
  
  
  dental
  
  
  hygiene
  
  
  services,
  
  
  including
  
  
  scaling,
  
  
  prophylaxis,
  
  
  periodontal
  
  
  maintenance,
  
  
  and
  
  
  patient
  
  
  education.
• Assess
  
  
  patients'
  
  
  oral
  
  
  health
  
  
  and
  
  
  document
  
  
  findings
  
  
  accurately.
• Take
  
  
  and
  
  
  review
  
  
  dental
  
  
  radiographs
  
  
  as
  
  
  needed.
• Educate
  
  
  patients
  
  
  on
  
  
  oral
  
  
  hygiene,
  
  
  treatment
  
  
  plans,
  
  
  and
  
  
  preventive
  
  
  care.
• Partner
  
  
  closely
  
  
  with
  
  
  doctors
  
  
  and
  
  
  team
  
  
  members
  
  
  to
  
  
  deliver
  
  
  outstanding
  
  
  patient
  
  
  experiences.
• Maintain
  
  
  infection
  
  
  control
  
  
  and
  
  
  sterilization
  
  
  protocols
  
  
  in
  
  
  accordance
  
  
  with
  
  
  state
  
  
  and
  
  
  federal
  
  
  guidelines.
• Build
  
  
  trusting
  
  
  relationships

  patients
  
  
  while
  
  
  creating

  welcoming

Qualifications

• Current
  
  
  Dental
  
  
  Hygienist
  
  
  license
  
  
  in
  
  
  the
  
  
  state
  
  
  of
  
  
  Tennessee
  
  
  or
  
  
  ability
  
  
  to
  
  
  obtain
  
  
  licensure
  
  
  prior
  
  
  to
  
  
  employment.
• Associate's
  
  
  or
  
  
  Bachelor's
  
  
  degree
  
  
  in
  
  
  Dental
  
  
  Hygiene
  
  
  from
  
  
  an
  
  
  accredited
  
  
  program.
• New
  
  
  graduates
  
  
  are
  
  
  encouraged
  
  
  to

• Dentrix
  
  
  experience
  
  
  preferred

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
• Clinical needs as required by office
