Senior Enterprise Risk Manager
$155k - $195kLong-Term Stock Exchange
About Us Are you looking to make a meaningful impact through your work? Join us at the Long-Term Stock Exchange (LTSE). We are an SEC-registered national securities exchange designed to promote fair and orderly markets, as well as help long-term focused companies get the credit they deserve. We are an innovative business ecosystem dedicated to reimagining the role of capital markets for a more equitable and sustainable future. At LTSE, we work with companies to identify long-term investors that will value their efforts to prioritize sustainable, long-term growth. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to leverage your diverse background and skills toward a compelling mission that delivers tangible results. By supporting businesses in creating multi-stakeholder value, we generate a positive ripple effect that benefits communities, employees, and beyond. Founded by Eric Ries, a visionary entrepreneur and creator of the Lean Startup methodology, LTSE offers a unique and rewarding environment where you can contribute to building a better future for all. The Opportunity LTSE is looking for an Enterprise Risk Manager who brings both rigor and practical judgment to complex business and regulatory questions. In this role, you will help shape and operate an enterprise risk management program that supports sound decisions, responsible growth, and the resilience of the exchange. This is an opportunity for an experienced risk professional who wants meaningful ownership - not simply maintaining a framework, but working directly with leaders and teams across the company to surface risk early, challenge assumptions thoughtfully, and turn analysis into action. You will lead significant ERM work, advise cross-functional partners, and help make risk management a useful part of how LTSE operates. Responsibilities Lead significant components of LTSE's enterprise risk management program, including risk identification, assessment, monitoring, governance, documentation, and reporting. Plan and facilitate enterprise and functional risk assessments, bringing together quantitative and qualitative information to identify priorities and recommend action. Own the quality and ongoing maintenance of the enterprise risk register, including risk ratings, controls, mitigation plans, accountable owners, and progress updates. Monitor key risk indicators, incidents, control issues, audit findings, regulatory developments, market trends, and emerging risks—and ensure material concerns are surfaced promptly. Partner with colleagues across trading, compliance, legal, finance, technology, operations, marketing, and other functions to embed effective risk practices into decisions and day-to-day work. Develop and improve risk policies, procedures, frameworks, standards, and tools so they remain practical, current, and responsive to LTSE's evolving needs. Design and lead scenario analyses, stress tests, control evaluations, and other complex risk reviews, selecting the right approach for each question. Prepare clear risk reporting and recommendations for senior leaders and governance forums, and support materials for the Audit Committee, regulators, and external auditors. Lead assigned workstreams for regulatory examinations, internal and external audits, and other assurance activities—from coordinating responses through driving follow-up actions. Serve as a trusted risk advisor on cross-functional projects, business changes, and new initiatives, helping teams balance opportunity, regulatory expectations, and LTSE's risk appetite. Own LTSE’s third-party vendor management review process, and seek out smarter ways to work by improving or automating risk processes, data collection, reporting, and controls. Required Skills and Experience Deep working knowledge of enterprise risk management frameworks, methods, and tools, with the judgment to adapt them to complex business and regulatory questions. Experience independently planning and leading complex risk work, establishing an effective approach, coordinating contributors, and knowing when an issue needs to be escalated. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, paired with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear, practical recommendations. The confidence and credibility to ask thoughtful questions, constructively challenge assumptions, and influence stakeholders without relying on formal authority. Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make risk information useful to technical, business, executive, and governance audiences. Sound judgment, discretion, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and regulatory compliance. Experience in enterprise, operational, compliance, technology, financial, or a related area of risk management—ideally within financial services, a regulated organization, an exchange, broker-dealer, fintech, or market infrastructure environment. Deep understanding of market structure, trading mechanisms, regulatory requirements, internal controls, audit, or governance processes. At least 6-8 years of directly related or equivalent professional experience. Preferred Skills Experience with risk reporting, data visualization, or workflow automation tools. A relevant professional certification, such as FRM, CRMP, RIMS-CRMP, CISA, or a comparable credential. How We Work At LTSE, long-term thinking and urgency go hand in hand. We value people who take responsibility, work transparently, seek out different perspectives, and approach difficult problems with curiosity and precision. In this role, you will have room to lead while working closely with colleagues who care about building durable systems, learning quickly, and improving how work gets done. Why This Role Matters Enterprise risk sits at the intersection of nearly every important decision an exchange makes. The person in this role will have visibility across the organization and the opportunity to influence how LTSE anticipates challenges, makes trade‑offs, and builds for resilience. Your work will help protect the business while enabling teams to move forward with greater clarity and confidence. LTSE's Compensation Philosophy The target salary range for this role is $155,000 - $195,000 with an anticipated starting salary at the midpoint of $175,000. Base compensation is part of a total rewards package including stock options and benefits, and may include additional performance incentives. We review all employee pay and compensation programs annually using multiple databases including Pave, Radford, McLagan, and other peer sets, to ensure competitive and fair pay. To determine the compensation for the role, we use a data-driven, blended rate approach to ensure we are paying competitively among our peers by benchmarking to companies of similar size and stage, and hire at the 50th percentile of the salary range. Benefits Drive Innovation. Make an impact working with a mission-driven company that shares your desire to create a new kind of public market. Meet Great People. Work with skilled, committed, and supportive teammates, that have a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Achieve Balance. Enjoy the LTSE commitment to a sustainable remote-first work environment, including a flexible vacation policy. Prioritize Health. Take charge of your health with rich medical, dental, vision, and EAP benefits. 100% of employee costs are sponsored by LTSE and there is a small, fixed employee contribution for dependent costs. Focus on Family. All new parents receive up to 4 months of caregiver leave including 8 weeks of full salary continuation, all while keeping your full company-sponsored benefits for up to the full 4 months. Foster Holistic Wellness and Growth. Receive reimbursements for up to $2000 worth of physical fitness, mental health and wellness, family care, pet care, and learning and development purchases and/or charitable giving annually with our Lifestyle Spending Accounts. Get Set Up for Success. Launch quickly with your company provided laptop, cell phone reimbursement, and $500 home-office stipend. Invest in Savings. Enroll in our 401k program offered through Human Interest, and other benefit programs offered through Gusto. Take Ownership. Full-time employees receive LTSE equity options in both of our entities, with a generous exercise period for those who reach a 2-year milestone. LTSE offers remote employment to candidates who reside in select states. LTSE is committed to championing a performance based culture to advance the LTSE mission. This requires the highest level of employee engagement with a broad diversity of perspective, background and capability to accelerate mission actualization and impact. We believe that inclusion is a team effort, and every team member is expected to participate in building a welcoming and representative culture. LTSE is an equal opportunity employer. We do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, color, ancestry, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran, genetic information, marital status or any other legally protected status. We enthusiastically work to make our application and interview processes accessible for candidates with disabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Long-Term Stock Exchange
