Key responsibilities Maintainasafeworkplaceandensurethatsafetyisalwaysthehighestpriority. Participateinallrequiredsafetytraining. Performdailyequipmentcheckstoensureallequipmentisproperlymaintainedandisinsafeoperatingcondition. Followinstructionsandcompleteassignedtasksefficientlyandeffectively. Takeactionstoavoidpotentialhazardsorobstructions,suchasutilitylines,otherequipment,otherworkersorfallingobjects. Haveappropriateclothing,workbootsandPPEwhileonthejobsite. Beawareofundergroundservices,suchaspipesorwirepriortobeginningworkandbecautiousoftheirlocationsthroughouttheworkday. Readjobplanstoensureathoroughknowledgeofthejobathand. Checkallequipmentfluidspriortostartingtheworkday. Checkfuelsuppliesofallequipmentatthejobsiteonadailybasis–priortobeginningwork,andbeforecompletingwork,toensurethatequipmentisreadytooperateatanytime.
