Travel Histotechnologist Job

Overview Histotechnologist position in histopathology for a travel temporary assignment in Kansas City, KS. Start date: 07/26/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,861 per week to $2,022 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: Evening, 8-hour blocks, 2:00 pm–10:30 pm. Work setting: healthcare facility environment focused on histology processing and preparation. Responsibilities Prepare tissue specimens for histology, including embedding, sectioning, and staining (H&E and special stains as needed) Process and cut tissue sections, perform quality control, and verify stain quality Maintain accurate lab records, label samples, and document workflow Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot histology equipment in accordance with procedures Follow safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines; participate in quality assurance activities Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely turnaround of specimens Requirements ASCP HT or HTL registration Education: Technical/Professional training or degree in Histotechnology Experience: 1+ years in histopathology with embedding, sectioning, and staining Ability to work an evening shift in a laboratory setting Comfortable with standard histology techniques and quality control practices Eligible to work in the listed geographic location Benefits and Support Two-day orientation in the start week Travel assignment with a defined 13-week duration Nicotine-free facility environment Bi-weekly pay cycle Agency-supported assignment navigation and contact during the term #J-18808-Ljbffr HealthForce Healthcare
