Assistant Property Manager

Bluestone Real Estate Services invites applications for a full-time Property Management position. Bluestone Real Estate is a leading property management company dedicated to providing exceptional service and enhancing the living experiences of our residents. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of one or more of our properties. You will help to ensure the efficient management of all aspects of the property, including leasing, maintenance, financial management and tenant relations.  

 

This position is located at Hawk’s Point Apartments in Keizer, Oregon. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday but can involve other days and hours. The position may participate in a rotating on-call schedule. On-site living may be required for this position. This position may have direct reports they will be responsible for supervising. 

General Duties 

• Support the property’s financial performance by leading and assisting with effective  marketing and leasing efforts to achieve and maintain occupancy goal of 95%. 

• Promptly respond to guest cards, leasing inquiries, phone calls, emails, and walk-in prospects to maximize leasing opportunities and reduce vacancy loss. 

• Schedule and conduct property tours, follow up with prospects, assist with applicant screening, and complete the move-in process in accordance with company standards. 

• Market available units by ensuring listings include accurate pricing, descriptions, photos, floor plans, availability dates, and community information. 

• Foster positive relationships with applicants, prospects, residents, vendors, and staff by addressing questions and concerns promptly and professionally. 

• Document all prospect, applicant, resident, and vendor communications accurately in the property management software. 

• Maintain, track, and request property insurance and renters’ insurance certificates. 

• Assist with administrative tasks, including copying, printing, scanning, mailing letters, posting notices, data entry, filing, and maintaining a clean and organized office. 

• Create, assign, and authorize maintenance requests, as appropriate, and follow up to ensure work is completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner. 

• Report accidents, emergencies, or urgent property concerns immediately to the Property Manager. 

• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned 

• Assist in administrative tasks such as copying/printing/scanning documents, mailing letters, posting notices, data entry and keeping the office clean and organized. 

• Perform other job duties as assigned. 

 
Required Qualifications   

1. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. 

1. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to use tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations, while maintaining confidentiality.  

1. Proficient use of office equipment such as laptop, printer, scanner, etc. and Microsoft Office software, such as Teams and Outlook.  

1. Valid Driver’s License, active insurance and reliable transportation if employed at multiple properties or living offsite and required to participate in the rotating on-call program. 

Preferred Qualifications 

1. One (1) year, or more, experience in property management or related role. 

1. Experience with or ability to learn property management software programs, such as AppFolio, and/or Avid. 

1. Knowledge and understanding of Fair Housing regulations both federally and locally.  

1. Experience in properly setting priorities, managing time to meet deadlines and organizing tasks & projects. 

1. Strong attention to detail. 

1. Ability to successfully show units and close tenant agreements.
