Role Description The Behavioral Health Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in San Jose, CA, and surrounding areas providing direct one-to-one ABA services to children in home, school, and community settings. This role implements behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs, collects ongoing data on client progress, and follows treatment plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) or supervising clinicians. The technician supports clients in building adaptive, communication, social, and play skills while helping to reduce challenging behaviors using evidence-based strategies. Day-to-day tasks include preparing session materials, documenting sessions, collaborating with clinical supervisors, and offering parent and caregiver support under guidance. The role also involves maintaining professional boundaries, adhering to ethical standards, and participating in training and team meetings to ensure high-quality care. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Behavior Analysis and Applied Behavior Analysis, including the ability to implement structured interventions and follow individualized treatment plans. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear documentation, professional interaction with families and team members, and the ability to follow clinical guidance. Candidates should possess skills in Behavioral Intervention, such as managing challenging behaviors, teaching replacement behaviors, and supporting skill acquisition in natural environments. Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Psychology, child development, or related behavioral health fields to understand client needs and therapeutic goals. High school diploma required; associate or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field preferred. Experience working with children or individuals with developmental or behavioral needs is highly beneficial. Ability to work on-site in San Jose, CA, follow safety protocols, and maintain confidentiality in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
