Responsibilities
- Operate computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue used to diagnose medical conditions.
- Perform imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.
- Ensure proper patient positioning, safety, and comfort; apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards.
- Verify patient information, select appropriate imaging parameters, and obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
- Maintain equipment, monitor supplies, and document procedures according to departmental protocol.
- Communicate efficiently with radiologists and the clinical team to support accurate diagnoses and patient care.
