Equipment Operator

We are hiring an experienced Equipment Operator to support daily production and material-handling operations at a busy manufacturing facility in Columbus. This is a hands-on role for someone with forklift, Bobcat/skid steer, and baler operation experience who is mechanically inclined and comfortable working around industrial equipment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, able to follow detailed instructions, and comfortable operating multiple types of heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate a variety of industrial and material-handling equipment
Operate forklifts, Bobcats/skid steers, grapple buckets, and mini excavators
Operate and monitor baling equipment
Perform various production and material-handling duties as assigned
Assist with basic equipment maintenance and upkeep
Inspect equipment and report mechanical or operational issues
Follow specific work instructions and production procedures
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Follow all company safety policies and applicable safety regulations
Work effectively as part of a team while also completing tasks independently
Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

Previous forklift operation experience required
Previous Bobcat or skid steer experience required
Baler operation experience required
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to identify basic equipment issues
Experience operating heavy or industrial equipment preferred
Ability to follow detailed directions and established procedures
Strong attention to safety and reliable work habits
Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
Willingness and ability to rotate shifts as required
