Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and patient-focused Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in San Antonio, TX. As a healthcare provider, you will deliver convenient, high-quality primary and preventive care services to patients of all ages while helping improve access to healthcare in the community. Our providers practice with a high degree of autonomy while receiving clinical and operational support from a dedicated healthcare team systems. Physician Assistant Compensation * The pay for this position is $70/hr * Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment * A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates Physician Assistant Highlights * This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs * The required availability for this position is weekends only OR weekends only and additional weekday hours if you want. Working 5/6 weekends. Might float to nearby locations. Physician Assistant Responsibilities · Provide patient-centered care for acute illnesses, minor injuries, preventive services, and wellness visits. · Conduct comprehensive health assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations. · Diagnose and treat common medical conditions according to evidence-based clinical guidelines. · Prescribe medications and treatment plans within the scope of practice and applicable state regulations. · Order, interpret, and communicate laboratory and diagnostic test results. · Administer immunizations, screenings, and preventive health services. · Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices. · Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR) documentation. · Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care. · Ensure compliance with all clinical, regulatory, quality, and safety standards. · Support clinic operational goals, patient satisfaction initiatives, and quality improvement programs. · Respond appropriately to urgent patient needs and facilitate referrals when a higher level of care is required. Physician Assistant Requirements * Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program. * Current and unrestricted Texas Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license. * National board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC, FNP-C) or Physician Assistant (PA-C). * Current DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to employment. * Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience in family practice, primary care, urgent care, retail health, or a related setting preferred. * Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills. * Ability to practice independently within established clinical protocols and state regulations. * Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. * Commitment to delivering high-quality, accessible, and culturally competent care. * Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. * Must be authorized to work in the United States. Preferred Qualifications * Experience in retail health, urgent care, occupational health, or outpatient primary care settings. * Bilingual English/Spanish language skills. * Experience providing care across the lifespan, including pediatric and adult populations. * Familiarity with preventive care initiatives and chronic disease management.
