Financial Consulting Manager - Gaming & Hospitality

Position Overview RSM’s Accounting and Finance Consulting (AFC) practice’s National Gaming and Hospitality group seeks a Manager to focus on Gaming and Hospitality Financial Advisory. Responsibilities Provide technical accounting support to business operations. Conduct business process improvement and internal controls assessments. Lead advisory projects such as organizational structure analysis, profit enhancement, cash management, and profitability studies. Document process improvements, policy and procedure. Serve primary clients in the gaming industry, including large commercial gaming resorts, casinos, and Indian gaming entities. Deliver high‑quality client service, coordinating consulting work plans and deliverables. Develop understanding of client business and industry to identify key performance drivers. Act as engagement team lead and go‑live lead, facilitating fieldwork and ensuring productivity and schedule adherence. Support execution and completion of client deliverables. Identify performance improvement opportunities. Collaborate across RSM service lines for integrated delivery. Identify and communicate opportunities to increase range and depth of services to clients. Basic Qualifications B.S./B.A. in Accounting. Minimum of 5 years business experience or public accounting/consulting experience, preferably in casino and hospitality accounting or operations. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Internal control expertise and experience improving control systems. Technical accounting expertise in U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS for public or private companies; experience with financial reporting, journal entry, and reconciliations. Experience managing staff on projects of varying sizes and a passion for talent development. Demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business associates and industry groups, including presentation and rapport‑building skills. Willingness to travel approximately 75–80%. CPA certification. Preferred Qualifications Experience on project teams in accounting and finance optimization, audit readiness, complex accounting analysis, standard implementation, financial automation technologies, or consulting services to similar industries. Ability to diffuse difficult customer situations. Ability to work independently, prioritize, and mentor junior staff. Compensation and Benefits Compensation Range: $88,900 – $168,300. Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
