As an LMFT, you will engage in virtual therapy sessions utilizing secure telehealth software to connect with patients. Key Responsibilities Establish rapport with clients to create a safe and trusting environment. Conduct thorough assessments of mental health needs and challenges, leading to effective diagnosis. Develop detailed, individualized treatment plans that reflect the unique circumstances and needs of each client. Engage clients in therapeutic sessions, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary to address progress or setbacks. Perform ongoing evaluations to monitor client progress and adapt therapeutic approaches accordingly. Provide referrals to specialized services when necessary to ensure comprehensive care. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and share valuable insights into treatment protocols. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population facing various mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and co-occurring substance use disorders. Qualifications A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York state. A master's or doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field. Expertise in evidence-based practices for working with addiction and co-occurring disorders. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and engage clients in the therapeutic process. Excellent communication abilities, crucial for both virtual settings and team collaboration. Preferred Experience Experience providing therapy in a remote capacity, demonstrating adaptability to virtual counseling dynamics. Specialized training in addiction therapy or familial therapy modalities. Prior experience in a clinical setting with a focus on outpatient services. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000–100,000 annually, aligned with your experience and expertise.
