Take2 is hiring a Computer Technician who is eligible to obtain a clearance . This position is onsite and will require you to work out of North Charleston, South Carolina . Job Description: Location: North Charleston, SC (Hanahan) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Duration: Approximately 3 weeks Clearance: must be eligible to be sponsored Overview We are seeking an experienced Computer / Field Deployment Technician to support a large-scale hardware refresh project for a government customer in the North Charleston, South Carolina area. This project involves the replacement of LCD display assemblies on Dell Precision 7680 laptops at a centralized customer location. The selected technician will work as part of a two-person team performing hardware upgrades on approximately 331 devices . Dell will provide replacement LCD assemblies and detailed work instructions. All equipment is already onsite and has not yet been deployed to end users. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hands‑on technician who enjoys leading project execution, resolving technical issues, and delivering exceptional customer service in a structured deployment environment. Responsibilities Lead and support laptop hardware refresh activities involving LCD panel assembly replacements on Dell Precision 7680 systems Perform hardware service tasks following Dell-provided procedures and documentation Coordinate daily activities with customer site contacts and project stakeholders Provide technical guidance and support to fellow technicians during deployment activities Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during service delivery Escalate complex technical concerns when appropriate Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting Ensure compliance with project requirements, schedules, and quality standards Follow all customer site policies and operational procedures Safely handle and organize replacement and removed hardware components Required Qualifications Minimum 4+ years of experience servicing, deploying, or supporting computer hardware Proven experience leading technicians and coordinating deployment or service projects Strong customer service and communication skills Experience troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware issues Ability to follow detailed written and verbal technical instructions Understanding of Statements of Work (SOWs), project deliverables, and operational impacts Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to lift and move computer equipment as needed Preferred Qualifications (not required) CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent experience CompTIA Network+ Certification Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSA, MCSE) or equivalent Experience with data migration, imaging, application installations, and deployment technologies Prior experience supporting Dell hardware environments Approximately 331 Dell Precision 7680 laptops Estimated service time of approximately 40 minutes per device Work performed at a single centralized customer location Removed LCD assemblies will remain with the customer for return shipment to Dell Dollies available onsite for equipment movement Free parking provided Standard business‑hours work environment What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is a seasoned field technician and team lead who can effectively balance hands‑on technical work with customer interaction and project coordination.
