Chef / Kitchen Manager

Hill & Bach Cellars | Boerne, TX Hill & Bach Cellars is seeking a Chef / Kitchen Manager to take ownership of our kitchen operations as we prepare to open our new winery experience in Boerne. This is a hands-on role responsible for daily and weekly kitchen preparation, menu execution, food safety, inventory, and maintaining a clean and compliant kitchen. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, collaborative, and passionate about both food and hospitality. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily kitchen operations and preparation Prepare tapas, light plates, and other menu items with consistency and quality Maintain kitchen compliance and ensure all health, food safety, and sanitation requirements are met Manage kitchen organization, inventory, ordering, and food costs Maintain and execute our established menu Keep the menu fresh with thoughtful seasonal updates and occasional specials Help prepare for private events, wine club events, and other special programming Work collaboratively with the Hill & Bach team Support the guest experience when needed, including pouring wine and assisting guests Qualifications Valid Manager Food Handler Card required Previous professional kitchen experience in a chef, sous chef, kitchen manager, or similar role Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health department requirements Excellent organization and attention to detail Ability to take ownership of kitchen operations and work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Hospitality-minded and comfortable interacting with guests Flexible schedule based on kitchen prep needs, service hours, weekends, and special events About Hill & Bach Cellars Hill & Bach Cellars is building a welcoming winery experience in Boerne where wine, food, events, and hospitality come together.
