Industrial Maintenance Technician – Plastic Extrusion
Edgestone Staffing is partnering with a well-established custom plastic extrusion manufacturer known for its clean facility, strong team culture, and commitment to quality. We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to support production operations by maintaining and repairing extrusion equipment and related machinery.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician who enjoys troubleshooting, problem-solving, and working in a stable manufacturing environment.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Overtime available on Fridays as needed
Pay
- $22–$25/hour, based on experience
Start Date
- Immediate opening following interview process
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on plastic extrusion machinery and supporting equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control system issues
- Maintain extrusion lines, including heaters, cooling systems, conveyors, motors, and downstream equipment
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Complete maintenance documentation and work orders within the CMMS system
- Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment performance
- Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with plastics or extrusion equipment preferred
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of electrical systems, motors, sensors, and controls
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus
- Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and precision measuring tools preferred
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
