POSITION SUMMARY

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining purchasing and inventory control systems for Prairie's Edge Casino Resort. This position oversees purchasing operations, vendor relationships, inventory management, contract administration, and Shipping & Receiving staff to ensure departments receive the supplies and equipment needed to operate efficiently and cost effectively.

This is a Full-Time, Exempt position working Monday through Friday during daytime business office hours. Compensation may be increased based on relevant experience and qualifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Develop, identify, evaluate, recommend, and select sources for materials, supplies, and equipment.
• Direct and coordinate activities related to purchasing and distribution of materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors when necessary.
• Prepare and process purchase orders, requisitions, and purchasing documentation.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for compliance with company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of goods ordered, received, and distributed.
• Coordinate emergency and special purchase requests to meet departmental needs.
• Assist departments in establishing inventory levels and inventory control procedures.
• Resolve vendor concerns, disputes, and supplier claims.
• Supervise Shipping & Receiving staff, including scheduling, training, performance evaluations, and payroll preparation.
• Follow all Prairie's Edge Casino Resort policies and procedures and support the organization's Mission and Vision.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

Experience: At least one (1) year of experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, or a related business field.

Education: Associate's Degree in Procurement, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Computer Skills: Knowledge of purchasing systems, databases, spreadsheet software, internet applications, and word processing software.

Other Requirements: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and effective communication skills. Must understand and comply with all company and departmental policies and procedures.

Must pass a State and Federal background check and pre-employment drug screening (which does test for THC).
